Your new role

We are seeking a motivated Team Leader, with experience supporting customers managing mental health, drug and alcohol issues and domestic/family violence, with strong leadership and people management skills to manage a team of dedicate Community Support Workers to support our customers.

Skills and experience

·          Experience supporting individuals living with a disability

·          Experience in leading a team

·          Sound understanding of person centred philosophy and practice

·          Experience supporting customers manage mental health, drug and alcohol issues, domestic/family violence

·          Experience working in a residential setting

·          Experience working with people with trauma backgrounds as a result of childhood or adult experience or neglect or abuse

·          Experience in Case Management

·          Knowledge of Mental Health Support Systems in South Australia (i.e. Community-based Mental Health Supports, mainstream supports)

·          Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·          An influencer and good listener

·          Warm, caring, resilient and grounded

 

Essential criteria:

·          Current DCSI Child Related Employment Clearance

·          Certificate IV in Mental Health or Certificate IV in Individual Support or equivalent

·          Current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003)

·          Current South Australian Driver’s Licence

 

Desirable:

·          Bachelor in Social Work / Human Services or equivalent

·          Certificate IV in Business/Frontline Management or equivalent (check PD before advertising)
