Specialist Services Facilitators

We have several positions available, both are 6-12 month contract positions up to full-time hours, with part-time options also considered. You will be based in Metropolitan Adelaide.

Your new role:

Reporting to the Specialist Services Manager, you will facilitate person centred practice through:

- Supporting our customers to identify opportunities, increase their independence and enhance their participation in the wider community - Developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating strategies and programs designed with and for our customers - Working closely with Cara staff to provide coaching and training to impart and maintain the skills required for excellence in service provision.

You will be working as part of Cara’s Specialist Services team, drawing on peer support from a large group of Developmental Educators and specialist Facilitators.

What you will need to succeed :

• NDIS experience and knowledge

• Experience in and delivery of person-centred practice

• Experience in the development of positive behaviour support plans and strategies

• Experience in working with children (highly desirable)

• Experience in trauma informed practice and therapeutic support (highly desirable)

• Current DCSI Child Related Employment Clearance essential

• Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education (or equivalent), Psychology or Behavioural Science

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or Post Graduate qualification (desirable)

• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or equivalent)

• Current South Australian Driver's Licence

This role suits a Developmental Educator / Facilitator with demonstrated experience in enhancing skills within the disability sector using initiative and innovative thinking.

With an ability to thrive in an environment that is often demanding, you will be a confident, motivated individual with well-developed organisational and planning skills, and the ability to meet changing customer needs.
